Lego City Advent Calendar, Girls’ Haircuts, Sewing Badges on Emily’s Junior Vest, and More…
This morning, Dan, Emily, and John opened up door #15 on the Lego City Advent Calendar. Inside today’s door appears to be a cash register and a display rack. Looks like the “mechanic” mini-figure is more accurately a “gas station attendant” mini-figure.
This morning, Emily and Sara had hair appointments out at the beauty shop in Renton. We picked up my mother-in-law at her house, then took the girls to their appointments. For the first time, Sara got to sit in a booster seat in the chair, instead of being in my mother-in-law’s lap. Sara did very well and cooperated with the hairdresser.
After the appointments, we ate lunch out at the Wendy’s in Renton. Then, we returned to my mother-in-law’s house. I brought Emily and John’s school pictures with me today, so I gave her what she needed of those, and my mother-in-law gave me our copies of Sara’s picture as well as the Santa picture. The Santa picture turned out pretty decently, considering that Sara was fussy during the photo shoot.
Before we returned home, we stopped at the Enumclaw Safeway to get our weekly grocery shopping done. Then, we came home and unloaded groceries. I washed a couple of loads of laundry, and also worked at sewing things onto Emily’s Junior vest (her Junior Aide patch, the Sign of the Star, the six badges she has earned so far this year, and two patches for the back of her vest for attending the Juliette Low birthday party back in October, and for participating in the soccer ball fundraiser). Unfortunately, she still doesn’t have her council patches or the two additional numerals she needs for her troop number (the council didn’t send enough to her leader, and Emily’s leader is still trying to get the remaining ones that she needs from them, since council is providing them for free).
Tonight, I baked a cake for Sara’s birthday party (which is tomorrow afternoon). I still need to frost it, and gather up materials for Sunday School tomorrow…
